A basic beanie hat, knitted in the round with a ribbed brim and a gathered crown using
simple decreasing.

Sizes:

Two sizes to fit average child or adult head.
Recommend ease 0-8 cm/0-3” of negative ease
For a head circumf. of approx. 38.5-46.5 (48-56) cm/17.5-18.25 (19-22)”

Length ribbing: 6 (6) cm/2.5 (2.5)”’’

Needles:
2.75mm/US 2 double pointed needles, or circular needles for working with the magic loop technique.
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking

Gauge: 30 sts x 42 rows = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4“ worked in the round in stocking stitch, after blocking.
