Cashmere

Scarce and Precious

Cashmere derives from combing cashmere goats, which live among others in China. The longer and finer the fibre, the better. You can only harvest about 150g of wool from one animal. This wool is then further separated into finer and thicker fibres, which explains why the harvest from one animal of the finest fibre is so little and the price so high. Cashmere is as soft and fluffy as angora, but not pilling as much as the fibre is much longer than that of angora.
