Not for lazy knitters, rather for those who like fancy things: Japanese silk yarn from the Japonica series. This variant features a core of bourette silk wrapped in Schappe silk. These two very different types of fiber create a slightly mottled effect letting the yarn appear fine and light yet untreated and raw at the same time. The stitch pattern is nevertheless clear - Japonica Silke is therefore ideal for ajour and hole patterns as well as for weaving and machine knitting.
Silk is pleasant on the skin, especially in summer and is also sewn into blouses, dresses, tops and undershirts, which are then wearable even in winter.
